About Our Lady of Salvation Church – The History of this Church located at Dadar dates back to 1596. The present structure, designed by famous Indian architect Charles Correa, was constructed between 1974 and 1977. With the growing number of parishioners the church was renovated very recently and now has seating and standing accommodation for a thousand persons.
The Church is popularly known as Portuguese Church as it was originally built in 1596 by the Portuguese Franciscans who called it Nossa Senhora de Salvação.
